Seeking a qualification in forestry is no small feat. As Simon Smith told the WIDE Trust, his final year has been both a “busy” and “exciting” period in his university career.

Hannah Munro is one of the trust’s many success stories. As is often heard, she hadn’t even considered a Bachelor of Forestry Science in the early years of High school.

It goes without saying that the forestry and wood industries are an intrinsic part of New Zealand’s history. But it’s one thing to say it, and another to educate ourselves as to its massive significance.

There is still so much to learn in the field of wood science. Obviously, the forestry sector needs talented people who are really dedicated in this field to answer the questions.
